Importance of Immediate Investigation

While the assessment of your injuries can wait until their full extent is medically known and documented, an investigation of the facts establishing who is at fault for the accident should begin immediately. Any insurance company representing another party will be investigating immediately. Your representatives should do the same to find witnesses, preserve physical evidence, take photographs, and generally start preparing your case for settlement negotiations or court.

Our Experience

Over the years, our largest settlements have been achieved in accident cases involving PennDOT, motorcycles, industrial explosions resulting in burns, careless or drunk driving, rear-end and head-on collisions, and farm accidents. We are always willing to investigate allegations of death or serious injury resulting from medical malpractice or hospital negligence, though we are not willing to pursue such claims unless an independent medical expert states in writing that there was medical negligence and that the negligence was the cause of death or serious injury.

We accept personal injury or death cases only in Butler, Allegheny, Beaver, Lawrence, Mercer and Crawford Counties.

Almost all clients prefer to enter into contingency fee agreements for personal injury litigation. This means that there is no fee due the attorney unless there is a settlement or recovery of money for the client. If the case settles or is won, the attorney receives a percentage of the recovery. There is no charge for an initial consultation in personal injury matters.

Serious Injuries Defined

We define a severe injury as one which disables a person from working for six weeks or more, and results in a substantial inability to perform some of the normal routines of living, without pain, for at least six months. Although there are exceptions, it is usually obvious within a few days of an injury, that the consequences will be serious and long term. It is extremely important to contact a qualified lawyer right away, if you believe you have been seriously injured.
